The University of Georgia places the highest priority on continuing to enhance student learning and success. The University tracks multiple indicators, with goals and thresholds set by its academic leaders, to document, evaluate, and improve the achievements of its students. Indicators include retention and graduation rates of undergraduate students, as well as licensure rates for select professional programs.

Retention Rates

The retention rate is the percentage of full-time, first-time, degree / certificate seeking undergraduates from the previous fall semester who are again enrolled in the current fall semester.

Graduation Rates

The graduation rate is the percentage of full-time, first-time, degree / certificate seeking undergraduates who graduate within a specified number of years. This report is displaying those students who graduate within six years.

Completion Rates

The completion rate is the percentage of full-time, first-time, degree / certificate seeking undergraduates who either graduate or move on to a professional program (complete) within a specific number of years. This report is displaying those students who complete within six years.

Licensure Rates

Licensure and licensure exam pass rates are reported and tracked by graduate, professional, and undergraduate programs intended to prepare students for practice in licensed professions.
