Financial reports provide detailed and summary level data to support budgeting, financial tracking, and reporting at the University. They include information on budgets, actuals, encumbrances, and historical data, and are sourced from systems like PeopleSoft Commitment Control (KK) and General Ledger (GL). Reports also include tools to interpret UGA’s chart of accounts and access legacy financial data. Together, they help departments and units monitor financial activity, manage projects, and ensure accurate accounting.
Budget Status−+
Budget Status Reports provide transaction level and summary information sourced directly from the Commitment Control (KK) Ledgers in Peoplesoft.
Project Status−+
Project Status Reports provides budget-to-actual information at the summary and detail levels. The report presents budgets and balances by Principal Investigator, Department, Project, and Project Activity.
General Ledger Status−+
General Ledger Reports provide information in both summary and detail levels and are sourced directly from the Actuals and Encumbrance ledgers (GL). These reports only contain transactions with a posted status.
Chart of Accounts−+
Financial information at UGA is tracked using a chart of accounts, which is a listing of all categories (such as a fund, class, department, account, or project ID) with which the university records accounting entries. The below reports provide a crosswalk that translates the Chartfield codes with their descriptions.
Historical Reports−+
Historical reports contain Legacy Data from both the Mainframe system and the split implementation period (July 2018 – December 2018) after go-live.
